As always, I try to keep these installments of our Beaverland journal somewhat interesting and unique, notwithstanding the fact that it’s indeed a herculean task, because let’s face it – we’re not all that interesting and/or unique to begin with - and as a result, I don’t have all that much raw material to work with.

This years Beaverland adventure had it all. People being stalked by wild – well sort of wild – animals, unfinished “Welcome Coolers,” stuffed mushroom caps, snakes on a plane - or in this case a boat – a dead skunk in the middle of the road, camaraderie, a haberdashery extravaganza, and ahem - much, much more!

Every other year during our annual spring fishing trip to Northern Ontario, I make a point of booking a fly out to some remote lake with one of the local air services.
